Home Band Live Media History Contact Music 2011 – 2014: Moneyshot, Re-Releases, New Lineup The release of Moneyshot marked the reappearing on the global worldmap of melodic/classic metal. Countless positive reviews from all over the globe (USA to Japan, Paris to Jakarta, UK to Bulgaria) brought SPEED LIMIT back into Rock & Metal magazines and webzines. In Germany they entered TOP 30 of „German Metal Rock Charts“ – stayed for 7 weeks. The record company (Pure Steel Records´sublabel Kartago) was buisy re-releasing the 1980ies vinyl-records „Unchained“ and „Prophecy“ on CD immidiately. Beneath a number of appearances (festivals, clubs, support-slots) the self established annual „Classic Metal Summit“ (together wit genre-heroes such as: PINK CREAM 69, PRETTY MAIDS, BONFIRE, KISSING DYNAMITE, SHAKRA) turned out to be the highlight of SPEED LIMIT´s live activity. Most suprisingly Steven Hogger quit the band in the fall of 2012 - right in the period of preparing for pre-production for the next album. The search for a new singer was no easy job done - being one for a frontman with international class and quality. After a great number of inconclusive auditions the band started a collaboration with Ritche Krenmaier formaly working with austrian powermetal cracks STYGMA 4. After some ups and downs, highlights of creativity and live shows the same as deep motivation gaps it became obvious that there was no reasonable progress in this kind of constellation. The summer of 2014 resulted in the end of cooperation with singer Ritchie Krenmaier and drummer Wolf Krug. Shortly this seemed to be the end of SPEED LIMIT. A meeting of longtime mates and members Chris Pawlak, Chris Angere and Joe Eder in October 2014 resulted in a powerfull and proud restart and the willingness of recruiting a capable bunch of new partners in crime. And it turned out to be pure destiny. One month later on November 12th the new lineup assembled in the rehersal studio Impressum
